Non-Emergency Phone Numbers

Patti has placed these numbers by the phones in the building. The main phone at Circ has them under the flap with "Check the Messages" directions. The other phone at Circ has the numbers attached to the back of the "Phone Features" list.

If you have a phone, find the numbers!

PLACING HOLDS

Watch for brackets after titles.

[kit] means it is probably a set of books for a book club.

[electronic resources] are not CD's or Tapes. These usually can not have a hold placed on them because of restrictions by the owning library.

February Staff Meeting -- NEW DATE!

The Adult Services Department will be hosting the monthly staff meeting on Tuesday, February 26th at 11 am. Please let your manager know if you are unable to attend.

People Counter

The Counter at the front door was broken.

I had Mickey move the one from the side door to the front door since the front door is used more heavily.

To check the count in the evening, use the small mirror by the key. Remember that it is backwards too!

To clear the count, unplug the unit and plug it in each night.

We are looking into replacing the missing counter.

Computers in Computer Room

Evening Staff
At night, "restart" of all the computers in the computer room.
Ctrl+Alt+Delete then press "Shut Down" then press "Restart"
This will clear anything saved, downloaded, etc. to the hard drive.

This can also be done during the day if you want to clean up the computer after a patron has used it.

Wall Street Journal

Wall Street Journal is now located behind the reference desk. If nobody is sitting at the reference desk and a patron would like to obtain an issue, please assist the patron. They are located on the bottom shelf (directly behind Bonnie's Desk). If you are unsure of where it is located, please ask the Help Desk now, instead of waiting for a patron to ask for assistance.Thank you.

IMPACT FEES

FYI --this is a fee paid by a builder for a new home build.

There are a few people at Circ allowed to do these: Judy, Pat, & Mary Kate
Any of the Managers can also handle impact fees.

Fees are currently $50, $100, or $120 so don't quote a fee to anyone over the phone unless you have checked with someone.

NON-RESIDENT FEE

The fee for a one year non-resident card for our library had been increased at the March 07 board meeting. It is now $170.00.

Just because we all keep forgeting.

P.S. A non-resident pays for a one year card becase he does not live in any library district.
