The fire alarm is NOT sending a signal to the emergency dispatch. Until the system is fixed, you will need to call the fire station if the alarm accidently goes off.

If there is an emergency, call 911.

Adult Services Raffle

We have a raffle for 6 books and a Borders Tote Bag. The Raffle Tickets are available at the Adult Services Desk.

If someone would like a raffle ticket and there is nobody at the Adult Services Desk, please give them the raffle tickets located at the circ desk or have them write their name and phone number.

Mystery BK Disc and MANGA group

There is NO mystery book discussion in December ---- this was a mistake on the Red Dec. Calendar.

There IS a Manga Group on December 20th --- They will be having a "party" --- questions about the Manga Group ---- ask Heather.

Survey Forms

There are new Parenting Class suggestion forms circulating. They will be available at Circulation, on the bookmobile, and handed out to parents at Story Hour and Wiggles & Giggles. Please turn in completed forms to Patti.

There is a note on the white board. Emily Sanchez will be coming in to put her rock collection in the small display case. I've also attached a name plate to the Circ. calendar for Emily.

CHRISTMAS LUNCHEON

Mark your calendars!
We have planned the staff Christmas lunch for
Wednesday, December 19th at 11:30 p.m.

Look in the kitchen for:

• attendance sign-up
• food sign-up/set-up and clean-up
• taking shifts at Circulation
• Secret Santa

If you are participating in the Secret Santa $10 grab bag, drop a completed form into the bucket (also in the kitchen). Names will be pulled on December 3rd.

Video Reading System

We received a donation from a patron. It is located next to the microfiche reader.
It is a full color video reading system that provides clear magnified images of photos, magazines and graphics in full lifelike color.

I have been playing with it and only have to figure the focus out more.

Cash Register

Please don't take any bill larger than a $20.
We can't keep up with breaking all the big bills that people bring in and this time of the year they seem to have more $20's anyway. Of course if their bill is $44.95 then then we probably could brake it since they are getting so little change!

Costume Contest

Matthew Boehmke has won the bookmobile costume contest. The prize is on a shelf above JodyO's incredibly tidy desk. The prize consists of an orange, felt, oval, pumpkin bucket containing candy and a book.

Please take a photo of our winner when he comes to pick up his prize.

If you have an opportunity to look at the flickr site, we had over 100 participants and many are very cute! Sponge Bob won, his mother completely built his costume from scratch with no pattern! It was awesome!

MOVED SIGNS

First, I moved the "Art" display for voting to the table where the READ stuff was located.
Second, I put up the "Food for Fines" signs on the doors and back of Circ computers. Plus, a couple of copies at the Circ Desk.
Third, The closed for Veterans Day has been posted.
