Team Walking Contest

I’m think of having a Team Walking Contest for patrons in April or May.
I’d like to try it out with staff to make sure the program will work.

Depending on how many staff members are interested, the teams might be 3-4 people. You would need to wear a pedometer and keep track of your daily steps. You’ll turn your numbers into your team leader. The team with highest # of steps at the end of the month will receive a wonderful surprise (notice I said surprise, not prize.)

Please let me know if you’re interested.

On Tuesday, October 19th we will be holding our 2nd annual Teen Open House. The teens will be playing a "60-second showdown" game based on the Minute-To-Win-It TV series.

Beginning Friday, October 1st we will be accepting (teen) names to partcipate in "60-Second Showdown. There are fliers (with a participation form on the back) on the PR board, PR tower and in the Teen section of the library.

Unable to find book in system

If you receive a phone call from a patron requesting a hold and unable to find the hold within system, please fill out a hold sheet. Reference staff will call the patron when the hold is placed or not placed.

This is due to the length of time it can take to place a hold.

1.) we often have to look at various catalogs to place holds
2.) we need to read the library's lending rules before placing the holds

COLLECTION IN FLUX -- UPDATE

I have created a chart for everyone to keep track of the Adult Fiction changes. The main one is by the light switches at circ and the pages all have a copy too.
