NON-RESIDENT CARDS

· The fee for a one year non-resident card for our library as of the March 07 board meeting is $170.00.
· Each member of the same household (address) may have a library card.
· The Expiration date is for 1 year from the month the patron pays the fee.
· This card entitles them to full library privileges for the year.

Entering these library cards is fundamentally the same as any patron card.
1. Under Basic Info:
a. PRIVILEGE EXPIRES: [one year from month paid]
b. All other fields are entered with same standard information as regular patron cards.

2. Under Demographic Info:
a. USER CAT 2: NONRESIDENT
b. USER CAT 3: HOMER
c. All other fields are entered with same standard information as regular patron cards.

Collections are on the Move!

The LP Biographies and non-fiction have been moved to the shelving unit along the wall next to the new magazines.

YA Graphic Novels have been moved to the back shelves behind reference.

J Graphic Novels and J new books have been moved to the free standing shelves next to the spinners in the kid’s room.

Things are a’changin at Homer… keep your eyes peeled on the new look!

Quilt Raffle with correction

Tickets are at the circ desk on the shelf between & under computers 2 & 3.
$5.00 each or 5 tickets for $20.00
The card is filled out then put it in the can on the circ counter.
EVERYONE can purchase a ticket or tickets.
Money goes in the Cash Register with button marked "QUILT" (says fee too and is on the bottom right.)
Raffle ends June 30, 2008

BTW, the quilt is twin size and there are extra tickets in the drawer under the cash register.

Barnes & Noble Book Fair Coupons

Starting Monday, May 19th please distribute Barnes & Noble Book Fair coupons. Coupons should be handed out upon check out, along with their date due receipt.

Arbor Day/Earth Day Raffle

Frances Connell is the winner of our Earth Day/Arbor Day raffle basket. She has been called and will be in to pick up her basket.

YA Manga & Graphic Novels

The YA Manga & Graphic novels have moved! They are now located on the back wall behind adult reference, before the start of the audiobooks. A sign (hopefully made by a teen!) is coming soon.

The juvenile graphic novels have not moved! They are on the same display in the children's room, but on both sides instead of just one.

The Golden Opportunities Coupon Books are now on sale for half price ~ $13 ~ such a deal! However there are only three left and I can't get anymore. If you know of someone who was waiting for this deal, tell them to come on in!!!

Friends of the Library

We have a Friends of the Library group and Eileen McCaffrey is the newest member! I've set up a library card for this group to take out materials relating to the Friends group. The number is on the application card in the drawer where other special cards are held.
