Are You Smarter Than A Librarian?

We will be holding a program "Are You Smarter Than a Librarian" on June 16th from 1 -3 p.m. This program is open to grades 3 through 8. We need to form teams, so they will need to sign up prior to June 16th. There are sign up sheets in the program log. They can sign up for (1) 30-minute session......1-1:30/1:30-2/2-2:30/2:30-3. If they want to sign up for more than 1 session, put their name down for 1 session. Any additional sessions, they should be listed on the waiting list. Let them know that if no one else signs up they can do more than one, but we need to give everyone a fair shot for at least 1 session. We are also looking for staff volunteers to play if you're working that day. It will be team play so no one person is on the spot.

Display Pick-up

Anthony Noska's animal collection that was on display in the kids room is in a bag on the hold shelf? I would hate for it not to be found and have the little guy upset.

Tax Forms

The white binder of "Reproducible Copies of Federal Tax Forms and Instructions" is now located at the reference desk. Multiple forms were missing -- we have replaced them, but do not want these to go missing as well. If a patron is looking for forms in the binder (such as Schedule A, B, C, etc.), direct them to the reference desk. If no one is available at the desk, the binder is next to the maroon "Reference Requests" bin. Please let the patron know that they need to return the original form to you after they make a copy of it!

See Heather with any questions! Thanks!

Energy: A Teen Leadership Academy

We are accepting applications for Energy again! Teens in grades 7-12 can apply, and they do not have to be Homer Library patrons. Applications are available at the circulation desk, the help desk, and on our website. We have added 3 more programs that the teens can come to, so there is a revised schedule at these spots as well.

Also, the Energy programs are not limited to Energy participants! Teens or adults are welcome to attend any of these programs.

See Heather with any questions!

REMEMBER - AMNESTY FOR FINES IN APRIL

Remember today begins Amnesty for Fines.

Here are the guidelines.... any materials owned by the Homer Township Public Library that are overdue and returned during this time in April will have their late fees forgiven up to $20.00 a day. Amnesty does not apply to materials that have not been returned, that were previously returned and the fines are already on the card, or materials that were checked out at a different library.

If you have any questions, please ask Sara.
